column vectors

By the end of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Understand that column vectors can represent the position of an object in three-dimensional space. Each component of the vector corresponds to the object’s coordinates along the x, y, and z axes.
  2. Understand the relationship between column vectors and transformations such as translations, rotations, and scalings in mathematics and computer graphics.

What's Included

Key Stage 4: Geometry and measures

  • Identify and apply circle definitions and properties, including: centre, radius, chord, diameter, circumference, tangent, arc, sector and segment
  • {apply and prove the standard circle theorems concerning angles, radii, tangents and chords, and use them to prove related results}
