  2. apply the theorem to calculate unknown side lengths in right-angled triangles;
  3. solve real-world problems involving distances, measurements, and applications of the Pythagorean Theorem.

  • apply angle facts, triangle congruence, similarity and properties of quadrilaterals to derive results about angles and sides, including Pythagoras’ Theorem, and use known results to obtain simple proofs
