By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
- understand the concept of “10 more” and “10 less” for two-digit numbers;
- understand the concept of “100 more” and “100 less” for three-digit numbers;
- use mental strategies to add or subtract 10 or 100 from a given number;
- identify number patterns when adding or subtracting multiples of 10 and 100.
