Description

By the end of this unit, students will:

  1. Understand the concept of nets as 2D representations of 3D shapes.
  2. Identify and create nets for various prisms and pyramids.
  3. Calculate the surface area of prisms and pyramids using appropriate methods.

Key Stage 3: Geometry and Measures

  • Use the properties of faces, surfaces, edges and vertices of cubes, cuboids, prisms, cylinders, pyramids, cones and spheres to solve problems in 3-D.
  • Age: 11-14
