By the end of this unit, students will:

1. Understand the concept of integers, including positive and negative numbers.
2. Recognize the significance of each digit’s position in an integer.
3. Compare and order integers based on their place value.
4. Perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with integers accurately.
5. Apply integer place value concepts to real-life and mathematical problems.
