By the end of this unit, children will be able to:
Add two or more fractions with like denominators (common denominators) accurately and efficiently.
Use folding paper strips and shading equal parts and then progress to using diagrams and bar models to add two fractions, before progressing to adding more than two fractions.
Apply addition skills to solve real-life problems involving fractions.
