By the end of this unit, children will be able to:
- Add two or more fractions with like denominators (common denominators) accurately and efficiently.
- Use folding paper strips and shading equal parts and then progress to using diagrams and bar
models to add two fractions, before progressing to adding more than two fractions. - Apply addition skills to solve real-life problems involving fractions.
