In this lesson, children will learn how to add and subtract numbers with up to 3 digits, using formal written methods of columnar addition and subtraction. They will learn how to add and subtract multiples of 100; add and subtract 3-digit and 1-digit numbers; and add and subtract numbers with up to 3 digits using a formal written method

  2. Convert decimals to their equivalent fractions accurately.
  3. Recognize patterns and relationships between decimals and fractions.
  4. Apply decimal to fraction conversion skills to solve real-life and mathematical problems.

  • Recognise and write decimal equivalents of any number of tenths or hundreds
  • Recognise and write decimal equivalents to 1/4 1/2 3/4
