Describing Positions – Left and Right

In this unit, children will be introduced to and understand the positional terms “left” and “right” as words that describe the relative location of objects. They will be able to visually recognize and identify when one object is positioned to the left or right of another object.

By the end of this unit, children will be able to:​
  1. Introduced to and understand the positional terms “left” and “right” as words that describe the relative location of objects.
  2. Able to visually recognize and identify when one object is positioned to the left or right of another object.

  • Describe position, direction and movement, including whole, half, quarter and three-quarter turns.
