By the end of this unit, students will:
- understand the concept of dividing quantities in a given ratio and use this to divide quantities based on a given ratio;
- apply their knowledge of ratio division to real-world scenarios.

- divide a given quantity into 2 parts in a given part:part or part:whole ratio; express the division of a quantity into 2 parts as a ratio

- relate the language of ratios and the associated calculations to the arithmetic of fractions and to linear functions
