Drawing Pictograms (2, 5, & 10)

Description

By the end of this unit, children will be able to:

  1. understand how to draw pictograms from previous learning and what the key represent;
  2. draw pictograms where each symbol represent 2, 5, and 10 items;
  3. improve on counting in steps of 2, 5, and 10.

Year 2 Statistics:

  1. Interpret and construct simple pictograms, tally charts, block diagrams and simple tables
  2. Ask and answer simple questions by counting the number of objects in each category and sorting the categories by quantity
  3. Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers
