Description
By the end of this unit, children will be able to:
- Understand the concept of perimeter as the total distance around a shape.
- Calculate the perimeter of shapes on a grid by counting the lengths of their sides.
- Apply the concept of finding perimeter on a grid to solve real-life and mathematical problems.

- Measure and calculate the perimeter of a rectilinear figure (including squares) in centimetres and metres.
