By the end of this unit, children will be able to:
- order and compare numbers with up to 3 decimal places;
- develop an understand of the value of each digit in a decimal number;
- use this knowledge to compare and order decimals accurately;
- recognise the significance of zero in decimal numbers and apply these skills in practical contexts.
Curriculum Alignment: Year 4 Number: Number – fractions (including decimals)
- Compare numbers with the same number of decimal places up to 2 decimal places.
