Probabilities | Independent Events
Independent events are those events whose occurrence is not dependent on any other event. Teach your learners to understand this important concept in statistics and probability with our amazing interactive probability lesson that will teach your ks3 class how to determine the independence of events and how to apply the rule of product to calculate probabilities.
How to Calculate probabilities learning objectives:
- understand that probability is given on a scale of 0-1;
- be able to write probability as fractions, decimals and sometimes as percentages;
- calculate probability of single events;
- review the use of listings, tables and tree diagrams to calculate the probability of two or more events.
Teachers can use the lesson for whole class teaching and learners can also use it at home to practice at home.
