Subtract Two Fractions

By the end of this unit, children will be able to:

1. Subtract two fractions with like denominators (common denominators) accurately and efficiently.
2. Use folding paper strips and transfer this knowledge to using diagrams and bar models.
3. Explore all the
   different structures of subtraction: taking away, partitioning
   and difference.
