By the end of this unit, students will:

  1. convert a fraction to a percentage by using fraction equivalence with 100 as the denominator;
  2. convert a fraction to a percentage by writing one quantity as a percentage of the other;
  3. apply these skills to solve real-world problems.

  • work interchangeably with terminating decimals and their corresponding fractions (such as 3.5 and 7/2 or 0.375 and 3/8 )
