Telling Time to the Hour

In this unit, children will become familiar with the basic structure of an analog clock, including the hour hand and minute hand. They will recognize and name the numbers on the clock face, representing the hours 1 through 12 and tell time accurately to the hour by reading the position of the hour hand in relation to the numbers on the clock.

Description
By the end of this unit, children will be able to:​
  1. Be introduced to the concept of a calendar and learn to read a basic monthly calendar.
  2. Learn to identify today’s date, as well as past and future dates.
