By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
- understand what classification keys are and why they are used in biology;
- explain how classification keys help in identifying and grouping living things;
- follow a dichotomous key to identify a variety of living things;
- demonstrate the ability to make accurate choices between two contrasting characteristics at each step of the key.
