Description

By the end of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Understand the purpose of data representation and how pictograms are used to display data.
  2. Create simple pictograms using appropriate symbols or pictures.
  3. Interpret and analyze data presented in pictograms.
  4. Compare and draw conclusions based on the information displayed in pictograms.

Year 3 Statistics:

  • Interpret and present data using bar charts, pictograms and tables.
  • Solve one-step and two-step questions [for example ‘How many more?’ and ‘How many fewer?’] using information presented in scaled bar charts and pictograms and tables.
