Classifying Plants

By the end of this unit, students will be able to:

1. identify and describe features of flowering and non-flowering plants:
2. explain the difference between deciduous trees (which shed their leaves annually) and evergreen trees (which keep their leaves year-round).
3. describe the key features of coniferous trees, including the production of cones and needle-like leaves.
