Description

By the end of this unit, children will be able to:

  1. Understand the concept of perimeter as the total distance around a shape.
  2. Identify and recognize regular polygons and their properties.
  3. Calculate the perimeter of regular polygons accurately.
  4. Apply the concept of finding the perimeter to solve real-life and mathematical problems.

Year 4 Measurement:

  • Measure and calculate the perimeter of a rectilinear figure (including squares) in centimetres and metres.
