This is an interactive revision lesson on comparing and ordering numbers for year 1.

Compare and order numbers up to 20. An interactive lesson that allows the students to explore different methods for comparing and ordering numbers. In this lesson, learners will be comparing and ordering numbers by:

  • identifying and representing numbers using objects and pictorial representations including the number line;

  • using the language of: equal to, more than, less than (fewer), most, least; and

  • given a number, they can also identify one more and one less.

This lesson follows the National curriculum requirement for year 1 mathematics.

Teachers can use the lesson for whole-class teaching and learners can also use it at home.
