  1. Understand the concept of time and its measurement.
  2. Read and tell time on analog clocks to the hour and half-hour.
  3. Recognize and use appropriate terminology for time (e.g. “o’clock,” “half past”).
  4. Relate daily activities to specific times on a clock.

Curriculum Alignment: Year 2 Measurements:

  • Compare and sequence intervals of time.
  • Tell and write the time to five minutes, including quarter past/to the hour and draw the hands on a clock face to show these times.
  • Know the number of minutes in an hour and the number of hours in a day.
