By the end of this unit, children will be able to:
- Understand the concept of time and its measurement.
- Read and tell time on analog clocks to the hour and half-hour.
- Recognize and use appropriate terminology for time (e.g. “o’clock,” “half past”).
- Relate daily activities to specific times on a clock.
Curriculum Alignment: Year 2 Measurements:
- Compare and sequence intervals of time.
- Tell and write the time to five minutes, including quarter past/to the hour and draw the hands on a clock face to show these times.
- Know the number of minutes in an hour and the number of hours in a day.
