Understanding Area

In this lesson, you will be able to identify the different types of angles such as acute angles, obtuse angles and right angles.

Description

By the end of this unit, children will be able to:

learn that area is a measurement of the amount of space inside a two-dimensional shape.
understand that area is expressed in square units (e.g., square centimeters, square inches).
learn to count rows and columns of unit squares to determine the total area.
