By the end of this unit, students will:

  1. use rule and a compass to construct equilateral triangles;
  2. use rule and a compass to construct triangles given side lengths (SSS);
  3. use rule and a compass to construct triangles given two sides and an angle (SAS);
  4. use rule and a compass to construct triangles given two angles and a side (AAS).

Key Stage 3: Geometry and measures

  • identify and construct congruent triangles, and construct similar shapes by enlargement, with and without coordinate grids
