Coordinates in the Four Quadrants

By the end of this unit, students will:

1. read and write coordinates in the first quadrant;
2. coordinates in all four quadrants;
3. and read and plot specified points.

Curriculum Alignment: Year 6 Geometry – position and direction

• describe positions on the full coordinate grid (all 4 quadrants)
• draw and translate simple shapes on the coordinate plane, and reflect them in the axes
