Counting in Multiples of 25

By the end of this unit, children will be able to:

  1. Count forward and backward in multiples of 25 up to 1000.
  2. Understand the pattern of multiples of 25 and apply it to counting.
  3. Recognize the pattern in the units digit when counting in multiples of 25 (25, 50, 75, 100, etc.).
  4. Use a number line to visualize and practice counting in multiples of 25.
  5. Identify the positions of multiples of 25 on a number line.

Curriculum Alignment: Year 4 Number: Number and place value

  • Count in multiples of 6, 7, 9, 25 and 1,000.
  • Find 1,000 more or less than a given number.
  • Count backwards through 0 to include negative numbers.
