Counting in Multiples of 6

By the end of this unit, children will be able to:

1. Count forward and backward in multiples of 6 up to 1000.
2. Develop fluency in counting by 6s.
3. Use a number line to visualize and practice counting in multiples of 6.
4. Identify the positions of multiples of 6 on a number line.
5. Apply counting in multiples of 6 to solve real-life problems involving groups or sets of objects.
6. Use counting by 6s to find the total number of items or calculate quantities.

• Count in multiples of 6, 7, 9, 25 and 1,000.
• Find 1,000 more or less than a given number.
• Count backwards through 0 to include negative numbers.
