Counting in Multiples of 7

By the end of this unit, children will be able to:

  1. Count forward and backward in multiples of 7 up to 1000.
  2. Develop fluency in counting by 7s.
  3. Use a number line to visualize and practice counting in multiples of 7.
  4. Identify the positions of multiples of 7 on a number line.
  5. Apply counting in multiples of 7 to solve real-world problems involving groups or sets of objects.
     

Curriculum Alignment: Year 4 Number: Number and place value

  • Count in multiples of 6, 7, 9, 25 and 1,000.
  • Find 1,000 more or less than a given number.
  • Count backwards through 0 to include negative numbers.
