By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
- explore the concept of night and day;
- understand how they occur as a result of the rotation of Earth around its axis;
- understand that it takes the Earth 24 hours to rotate around its axis.
- understand that when the Earth rotates, it is day on the side facing the Sun and night on the side facing away from the Sun.
