Finding Numbers 4 and 5

By the end of this unit, children will be able to:

  1. explore finding different representations of 4 and 5;
  2. confidently say the number names ‘one’ to ‘five’;
  3. match the verbal number names to numerals and quantities;
  4. recognise that the final number they say tells them the total number of objects in the set, to reinforce their understanding of cardinality.
