Generating Sequence from Patterns

By the end of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Recognize and describe numerical patterns and relationships.
  2. Generate sequences of numbers based on given rules or patterns.
  3. Extend and predict terms in sequences using the identified rules.
  4. Apply the concept of generating sequences to real-life and mathematical problems.

  • recognise arithmetic sequences and find the nth term
  • recognise geometric sequences and appreciate other sequences that arise
