By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
- Discover how the human circulatory system works, understanding its role as a separate system in the body with its own job to do.
- Identify the main components of the circulatory system, including the heart, blood vessels (arteries, veins, and capillaries), and blood.
- Understand the functions of the heart, such as pumping blood throughout the body, and how it is divided into chambers.
- Describe the pathway of blood flow through the circulatory system, starting from the heart, through the arteries, capillaries, and veins, and back to the heart.
