By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
Discover how the human circulatory system works, understanding its role as a separate system in the body with its own job to do.
Identify the main components of the circulatory system, including the heart, blood vessels (arteries, veins, and capillaries), and blood.
Understand the functions of the heart, such as pumping blood throughout the body, and how it is divided into chambers.
Describe the pathway of blood flow through the circulatory system, starting from the heart, through the arteries, capillaries, and veins, and back to the heart.
