length and height
Students will be able to use appropriate tools, such as rulers or measuring tape, to measure the length and height of objects accurately. Students will be able to compare and order objects by their length or height, using appropriate vocabulary such as "longer than" or "shorter than". Students will be able to estimate the length or height of objects using non-standard units, such as paper clips or straws. Students will be able to convert between different units of measurement, such as centimeters to meters or inches to feet. Students will be able to apply their understanding of length and height to real-world problems, such as measuring the height of a tree or the length of a fence.
