ordinal numbers
Students will be able to identify and name ordinal numbers up to at least tenth place (e.g., first, second, third, fourth, fifth, etc.). Students will be able to use ordinal numbers to describe the position of objects in a sequence (e.g., "The turtle is third in line."). Students will be able to compare the positions of objects using ordinal numbers (e.g., "Is the purple marker before or after the red marker in line?"). Students will be able to apply their understanding of ordinal numbers to real-world situations, such as describing the order of events in a story or the placement of competitors in a race.
