Short Divisions Year 5 is a completely interactive lesson designed for learners in year 5.

Divisions Year 5 learning objectives include:

  1. to divide numbers mentally, drawing upon known facts;

  2. Use the formal written method of short division to divide numbers up to 4 digits by a one-digit number; and

  3. interpret remainders appropriately for the context.

This lesson follows the National curriculum requirement for year 5 mathematics.

Teachers can use the lesson for whole-class teaching and learners can also use it at home.
