Tables

By the end of this unit, students will be able to:

  • Understand the concept of tables as a way to organize and present data.
  • Identify and differentiate columns and rows in a table.
  • Read and interpret information from tables, including simple data sets.
  • Organize and record data in a table format.
  • Apply tables to solve real-life problems and answer questions.

Curriculum Alignment: Year 2 Statistics:

  • Interpret and construct simple pictograms, tally charts, block diagrams and tables.
  • Ask and answer simple questions by counting the number of objects in each category and sorting the categories by quantity.
  • Ask-and-answer questions about totalling and comparing categorical data.
