By the end of this unit, children will confidently count forward and backward from any number up to 5 and use one-to-one correspondence to accurately count and determine the quantity of a set of objects.

Description
By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
- count forward and backward from any number up to 5;
- count a set of objects and determine the quantity using one-to-one correspondence.

- Count to and across 100, forwards and backwards, beginning with zero or 1, or from any given number.
- Identify and represent numbers using objects and pictorial representations including the number line, and use the language of: equal to, more than, less than (fewer), most, least.
